in Greensboro, North Carolina and he started racing in 1974 in
the Late Model class at 311 Speedway located in Madison, North
Carolina following in father's footsteps. His first win was in
1974 in the Late Model class at Ace Speedway. Ray's career
highlights include 21 consecutive wins, 18 Track Championships,
2 Renegade wins, first ever Crazy 8 Series winner, first ever
Super 7 Series winner along with winning the Super 7 Series
championship, and over 470 career wins. The
thrill of racing for Ray is winning. His most exhilarating
racing moment was winning a race at speed weeks in Florida.
